NON-PACKAGED

Bubble Balloons need lots of moisture during storage before inflation so that they will stretch when you inflate them. For this reason, Bubble Balloons are now available packaged in a Moist-Pak. If you still have some NON-packaged Bubbles you must store them in a very humid location such as a humidor or for better results you can "moist-pak" them yourself using steam and zip lock bags.

STORAGE OPTION 1: Steam and Zip Lock Hang your Bubble Balloons in a shower room (or other steamy place). Turn on the shower and allow them to sit in this steamy room for at least 10-30 minutes. You can then take these balloons and inflate them fully without worry of popping. If you are not going to use them immediately, put them in tightly sealed zip-lock bags. You can then bring them to your shop or job location to inflate even in dryer areas. If you need the moisture to last longer, add a wet paper towel protested by an open sandwich bag. Inside the Zip-Lock bag, you can insert an unsealed sandwich bag with wet paper towel inside of it into the Zip-Lock bag along with the balloons. The sandwich bag keeps the wetness away from the balloons, but allows the moisture into the Zip-Lock bag to reach the balloons.

By using steam you have created a VERY stretchy Bubble Balloon and are then able to use a Flexible Tilt Inflator for the OUTER balloon and an Automatic Shutoff Inflator for the inner balloon. Check out inflation instructions. If you try to inflate without softening the balloon first, it will pop.

STORAGE OPTION 2: Create a DIY Humidor for around $5 It is inexpensive and easy to create a humidor by using a Styrofoam cooler and a wet sponge placed inside a Tupperware (with cut holes in the lid). The Tupperware prevents the balloons from touching the wet sponge. Simply bundle up your Bubble Balloons and store them in the humidor. Storing Bubble Balloons in a highly humid environment allows one to inflate very easily and quickly whilst achieving a wrinkle free look. Download a pdf file of a DIY Humidor. This method may not yield the softest Bubble Balloon possible, and so the Bubblematic Inflator is recommended.

1. Put the sponge in the Tupperware so that it fits loosely. Make sure the sponge is always saturated with water and that there are holes (about 1" holes) on the lid of the Tupperware.

2. Put the Tupperware in the cooler.

3. Store your Bubble Balloons in this cooler. Keep Cooler closed when not using it. Choose a warm location to keep your humidor.

*Hint: It works best if you can put your Bubble Balloons in a steamy room before storing them in a humidor. Read Option 1. This will enable you to use almost any inflator. If your Bubble Balloons are not that soft, you should use a Bubblematic Inflator.

NON-PACKAGED Bubble Balloons only need to be treated with moisture/humidity BEFORE inflation. The longer they are in this moist/humid environment the better. Nevertheless, Bubble Balloons will not "go bad" due to dryness (you just can't inflate them until you have treated them first). Once the Bubble Balloon is inflated, it is stretched and can be displayed and taken into dry conditions.

Keep in mind that although your city or town may be very humid, your air conditioner is taking away much of that humidity. ALWAYS store your NON-PACKAGED Bubble Balloons in a moist and humid area BEFORE inflation or else they will pop.
